Firstly, this day is all about you, but I’d like to introduce myself and explain why I am committed to making your day as unique as you are.
I’ve spent my whole career working in communications, and mostly in the form of magazines. I love them; reading them, creating them and writing in them. I also love people, in particular meeting new people. It’s been said that my social skills are my super-power, and I’ll gladly accept that, thank you very much. Call it that, or just a heightened sense of empathy, but I always try to make the people around me, old friends, or new acquaintances, feel comfortable and listened to. I also love weddings, so becoming a celebrant means combining my three favourite things into one fabulous vocation.
I trained with The Fellowship of Professional Celebrants so you can be assured that I know what I’m doing.
As your celebrant, I will craft you a personalised, bespoke ceremony that will reflect your story and your dream of the most special day of your lives.
My style is relaxed and humorous (in the right places) as I believe a ceremony can be sincere without being overly serious. Having said that, this is your service, so if you would prefer something more formal, that’s absolutely fine. The most important thing is creating a ceremony that finds the right energy at the right times, hitting all the emotional spots, engaging the guests so we have no bored shuffling in the back seats, and making sure that you are both happy.
I am based in west London (Notting Hill to be precise) so am well situated to travel anywhere, so wherever your location is, please do get in touch.
Finally, if you have any questions, however silly, please ask. Most people are doing this for the first time so you can’t be expected to know it all straight away, or indeed ever!
